Monster Diversity Leadership Programs Help Match Diverse College Students With Leading Employers

Free Program Provides Practical Career Skills and Networking Opportunities (May 12, 2010)

MAYNARD, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/12/10 -- Monster Diversity Leadership Programs (DLP), a conference series created to empower and advance diverse college students as they transition from school to the workforce, today announced the extension of its summer workshop series. Through interactive two-day programs, DLP will work with thousands of diverse college students from across the country to help them cultivate essential skills for making a smooth transition into the labor market. Monster is the leading job matching engine and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: MWW).

DLP will kick off 2010 at Chapman University in Los Angeles, California, the first of nine weekend programs open to college undergraduates and graduates throughout the U.S. Of the more than 20,000 expected applicants, 2,700 students will be invited to participate in the educational series, which will include seminars about valuing, engaging and leveraging diversity, goal setting, resume writing and inclusive leadership. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with executives from Fortune 500 companies, including Platinum and Gold Sponsors such as Target, Verizon, Macy's, and Lockheed Martin.

"While signs of recovery of the job market are still underway, the Monster Diversity Leadership Programs will give students a competitive edge with applicable career skills and connections to leading professional mentors while given a chance to network with some of the country's top employers," said Chenney Chen, marketing manager, Monster Diversity Leadership Programs.

The 2010 DLP tour will be hosted at these prestigious colleges and universities in the following cities nationwide:
