Mobiquity Adds Noted Mobile Thought-Leaders to Advisory BoardBusiness and Academic Visionaries Join Company's Advisory Board (October 25, 2011)

New members include Beth Andersen, President of Aetna's West Region; futurist, educator and author, Thornton May; Mark Pecen, Vice President, Advanced Technology for Research in Motion Limited (RIM); and Roy Rosin, Vice President of Innovation for Intuit. Beth Andersen is President of Aetna's West Region. In this role, Ms. Andersen has operational and financial responsibility for Aetna's Individual, Small Group, Mid Market, Medicare and Public Sector customers, as well as provider network management within the region. Prior to taking this role in January 2010, Ms. Andersen was the President of the Small and Middle Market business segments for Aetna's West region. Ms. Andersen was in this role since 2001. A healthcare executive with over 25 years experience, Ms. Andersen has held various management positions in Sales, Customer operations and Underwriting. Her professional affiliations include serving on the Board of the California Association of Health Plans.
Thornton May is a futurist, educator and author. His extensive experience researching and consulting on the role and behaviors of "C" level executives in creating value with information technology has won him an unquestioned place on the short list of serious thinkers on this topic. May has been honored by eWeek with inclusion on its list of Top 100 Most Influential People in IT. He was also named "one of the top 50 brains in business" by Fast Company magazine. May serves as Executive Director and Dean at the IT Leadership Academy in Jacksonville, Florida; Futurist - External Technology Advisory Board at the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering; and Co-founder of the CIO Solutions Gallery at the Fisher College of Business [the Ohio State University] where he also teaches the MIS program for eMBAs. Mark Pecen serves as Vice President, Advanced Technology for Research in Motion Limited (RIM), makers of the BlackBerry wireless devices, systems and services. Pecan is responsible for economic and strategic assessment of advanced wireless technology investments, commercialization of applied research, strategic technology partnerships and customer collaboration on future technology deployment. Pecen established RIM's Advanced Technology Research Centre in 2005. The centre's focus is wireless systems research, including all aspects from radio frequency hardware and antennas to core network technology and wireless-specific services. It serves as an internal incubator for technology for new products, features and global wireless standards. Pecen represents RIM to industry and academic organizations, and serves as an advisor to Canadian government on wireless communication and research.
