Mitsubishi Announces XD300U ColorView DLP Projector

6.6-pound model offers 2,100 ANSI lumens, 2,000:1 contrast ratio By Dave Nagel
Mitsubishi has announced its new XD300U ColorView DLP projector. The new model, designed for both the presentation and the home theater market, is a 6.6-pound unit offering 2,100 ANSI lumens of brightness. It also includes a lamp with a 4,000-hour life.

The XD300U ColorView offers a resolution of 1,024 x 768 and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1. It's fully compatible with Mitsubishi's ProjectorView networking system, which connects projectors to a local area network through an assigned IP address. This allows the projector to be monitored with a Web browser from within the LAN or through the Internet. It also offers six-axis color adjustments and dynamic gamma mode controls, as well as sRGB. And it includes Directional Correlational Deinterlacing for eliminating jagged edges from standard interlaced video.

Mitsubishi has not said when the new model will be available. But it will carry a price tag of $6,995. For more information, visit
