Miranda Extending Densité Interfaces at IBC

To show PresStation multi-channel master control switcher panel (July 01, 2004)

This year's IBC exhibition will see Miranda Technologies further extending its range of Densité interfaces with advanced control over IP and strengthening its master control and branding range with the PresStation multi-channel master control switcher panel. The company will exhibit at IBC2004 Preview Hall 8, Stand #348.

Extended Densité Series Interfaces
Miranda's range of space-efficient, multi-format Densité Series interfaces has been further extended and now offers all the essential functions, including video/audio signal processing, frame synchronization, SD-analog conversion, HD downconversion, embedding/de-embedding, signal-measurement probes, fiber optic interfacing, and DAs. The modules feature advanced control over IP, with many cards providing streaming of video plus waveform/vector scopes over a standard network using the iControl desktop monitoring and control system. The new MSB internal monitoring router option for the Densité frame simplifies infrastructure monitoring by allowing the input video/audio to any module, in one or more Densité frames, to be monitored with a conventional scope and monitor.

Imaging Series XVP-801i Universal Video and Audio Processor
The new, awarding-winning Imaging Series XVP-801i Universal Video and Audio Processor simplifies incoming feed processing with multiple SD and HD formats. This single module offers high-quality up-, down-, and cross-format-conversion, as well as HD/SD signal processing, frame synchronization and 16-channel audio processing using embedded audio or separate AES (with the new DAP-781i audio processing module launched at IBC2004).

HD/SD PresStation Master Control Switcher Panel
The new PresStation HD/SD Master Control Switcher Panel for Miranda's Oxtel Series HD and SD channel-branding processors combines an ultra-compact hard panel for transition control with a separate, soft control screen for parameter adjustment and system monitoring. PresStation provides easy control of multiple transmission channels, and can be used to control all the mixing, DVE, and graphics playout features of the branding processors.

New Features for Kaleido-K2 Multi-Image Display Processor
Miranda's Kaleido-K2 32-input, multi-image display processor for mission critical applications has also been improved with multiple new features, including the display of subtitling text, AFD detection, encoder automation support, and enhanced K-Edit display configuration software.

MDC-900/920 Downconverter and SER-900 HD Serializer Extend Camera Monitoring Interfaces
The DVC series of workflow-enhancing monitoring interfaces for Sony and Panasonic HD cameras also has been extended with the new MDC-900/920 downconverter and the SER-900 HD serializer. These two new interfaces are lower-cost, reduced-functionality versions of Miranda's successful DVC-800 downconversion and DV encoding interface for HD cameras.
