Minted Celebrates Community, Curation, and Charity With Launch of Art Prints50 Percent of May & December Sales Benefit Every Mother Counts, Celebrity-Curated Walls Featured at Minted.com (May 10, 2012)

The unique, limited edition artwork was unveiled at an intimate party hosted by CEO/Founder Mariam Naficy at her San Francisco home last night. Each wall in Naficy's home featured a group of Minted art prints curated by Silicon Valley leaders, design celebrities, and Christy Turlington Burns, founder of Every Mother Counts.
50 percent of the proceeds from May and December sales of Minted's children's and nursery art, and a portion of the proceeds for the remainder of the year, will benefit Every Mother Counts in support of its advocacy and mobilization campaign to increase support for maternal mortality reduction globally.

Every product featured on Minted.com is sourced through art competitions, in which artists provide critique and feedback to each other and select which art the company should sell. Minted's recent nursery art challenge was guest-judged by Turlington Burns, who chose "Birds of a Feather Flock Together" by Ashley Kallas, "Family Tree Rings" by Jessie Steury, and "The Counting Ocean" by Michelle Enderton to receive special judge's awards.

Celebrity curators for Minted's art launch party have also shared the selections they made for Naficy's walls for the world to see on Minted's inspiration boards, a new feature recently launched on Minted.com. The Inspiration Boards are community-curated sets of art that enable Minted customers to curate, share, and envision how different art can be put together on a wall. In addition to Turlington Burns, guest curators included Marissa Mayer of Google, Alison Pincus, co-founder of One Kings Lane, Jeremy Stoppelman, CEO of Yelp, blogger Victoria Smith of SFGirlbyBay, and photographer and journalist Tabitha Soren. Each of the guest curators from the party has now posted their selections on Minted's site in the 'featured' section of Minted's inspiration boards.
Minted prints art on museum-quality, cotton rag archival paper. The initial offering will range in size from 5"x7" to 44"x60".
