Mezeo Software Announces CDMI Implementation in Newest Product Release at SNW Spring 2011MezeoCloud 4.0 Uses SNIA Standard for Data Management (April 05, 2011)
SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/05/11 -- SNW SPRING 2011 -- Mezeo Software (www.mezeo.com), the leading provider of deployable cloud storage solutions, today announced that the latest release of MezeoCloud implements the SNIA (The Storage Networking Industry Association) CDMI (Cloud Data Management Interface) for data management. MezeoCloud, version 4.0 of the Mezeo Cloud Storage Platform, was announced at SNW yesterday.
The SNIA CDMI architecture standard defines the functional interface that applications will use to create, retrieve, update and delete data elements from the cloud. Based on a REST HTTP protocol, the CDMI standard requires adopters to implement strong access controls and to provide for encryption of the data on the underlying storage media for secure multi-tenant cloud environments.
"Mezeo is all about providing flexibility for our customers," said Mezeo President and CEO Steve Lesem. "The new MezeoCloud architecture, our Interoperability API and our implementation of the SNIA CDMI standard, are just some of the significant steps we've recently made to offer an API enabled cloud storage offering that helps our customers improve service levels to their users."
"SNIA recognizes Mezeo as being part of the first wave of commercial cloud solutions to feature the CDMI specification," said Wayne M. Adams, SNIA Chairman. "SNIA appreciates the efforts Mezeo has undertaken to help advance the SNIA cloud standard, to improve the reference implementation and to increase interoperability."
MezeoCloud 4.0 simplifies installation and deployment of public and private clouds. The new architecture, which features a new meta-data storage technology, provides massive scalability and maintains excellent performance. Multiple storage connectors can be used to customize a storage cloud environment based on performance and cost. Mezeo also announced a white label iPad access client and server and desktop backup to the cloud options.
Mezeo will be showcasing their solutions in the SNIA Cloud Pavilion at SNW 2011. SNW runs April 4th through April 7th in Santa Clara, California.
