Merrill Lynch Buys GVG Kalypso Video Production Center for In-House Studio(July 30, 2001)
Systems integrator Diversified Systems, Inc. of Kenilworth, N.J. performed the installation. Diversified Systems, Inc. is a leading integrator for broadcast, cable, business television networks, and interactive distance learning systems, offering turnkey solutions from initial concept through fabrication and installation to ongoing maintenance.
Today’s announcement is part of the transition of Merrill Lynch MediaWorks to digital production. Every day, its studios produce everything from insightful market analyses for the company’s Financial Advisors to executive addresses for worldwide internal distribution. To meet these demands, the studio configured its Kalypso system—which offers up to 80 inputs—with four mix/effects (M/E) banks, a 100-frame video still store, and an internal transform engine for digital effects.
