Medical School Students Compete on ReachMD for the Title of "Next Top Doc"Medical Radio Game Show National Championship (May 17, 2011)
NORTHBROOK, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 05/17/11 -- ReachMD, an award-winning provider of professional medical news, information and continuing medical education, will broadcast the national championship of the game show Next Top Doc this week, where medical students compete for up to $5,000 in ReachMD Educational Scholarships and the title of Next Top Doc.
In the second season of ReachMD's audio game show series, produced in cooperation with the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), 15 medical students competed. Each match was recorded and aired on ReachMD XM 167. All early round matches are available on demand at ReachMD.com/NTD2.
In the final championship round, David Marcovitz, a third year MD candidate at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine competes against Kahlil Saad, a second year MD candidate at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Marcovitz earned his BA in Russian literature from Princeton University, did preventative AIDS work on a Fulbright Grant to the Russian Federation, and worked as a medical assistant at Christ House Recovery Shelter in Washington, DC before entering medical school. He would like to pursue a career in primary medicine.
Saad spent a year in Bonn, Germany at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhems Universität Bonn, followed by a year teaching English to primary school children in Seoul, South Korea before completing his BS in Biochemistry at the University of Kansas. He is interested in the policy and systems of healthcare.
