MediaSilo Releases New Cloud Video Management Platform at NAB: New Version Improves Online Asset Management and Collaboration

(March 26, 2012)

BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/26/12 -- Boston-based online video platform MediaSilo announces the upcoming release of its third generation of cloud-based tools for video pros at NAB 2012. MediaSilo 3.0 introduces hundreds of new features and a fresh user interface that aims at accelerating production workflows. The new platform will be available on April 16, with live demos at NAB.

"Our goal is to fundamentally change the way that video producers store, manage, collaborate and share their content -- by taking the complex task of asset management and making it simpler for administrators and front-line users alike," says Kai Pradel, Founder and CTO. "With this release, MediaSilo is now the central hub for all things media within the industry."

With over a year in development, MediaSilo 3.0 was heavily influenced by feedback from its user community. From freelancers to big media -- hundreds of video producers around the world provided input during the 6-month beta period.

"The landscape of workflows for video production is so diverse, we knew we couldn't do it alone. Our users shared workflows and pain points that we've been able to address in this latest iteration of our cloud-based toolset," Pradel adds.

MediaSilo's approach is based on pods: plug-and-play widgets that add new functionality and workflows, such as file distribution, social media sharing, or integration other internal or external systems.

Other significant improvements include: broader file format compatibility; quicker and easier file upload; a new API for developers; and a new administration panel for accounts that manage large user groups.

MediaSilo 3.0 is available starting at $349/month or as a per-seat Enterprise license for large user groups. Visit MediaSilo online at www.mediasilo.com to schedule a demo or visit booth SU11607 in the NAB Show's Online Video Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nev. April 16-19, 2012.
