Mr. Evans will be responsible for all national marketing, strategic planning and business development for Media Distributors, and will also manage the companys entire Eastern operations based in New York City, inclusive of all related sales, marketing and operations activities.

Regarding Media Distributors entry into the New York market, Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the New York City Mayors Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, said, "It is a pleasure to welcome Media Distributors to New York City. New York offers filmmakers the richest talent, finest crews and best locations in the world, and Media Distributors will provide additional services to support our local production industry."

Regarding Mr. Evans association with the company, Mr. Klein said, ?This is a real coup for us. For Tom to agree to join forces with Media Distributors demonstrates his belief in the future of this business and more specifically the strength of our company as the industry leader. It also demonstrates to the entertainment industry that there is a strong, healthy multi-media marketplace in New York and worldwide.

Added Mr. Myerson, ?We see the New York media industry coming back in a big way, with tons of studio and indie films, television content, commercials and music videos being produced and post produced on the East Coast. We are betting big on New York City, by committing significant resources to establishing ourselves there. Our major vendors have all fully supported our efforts to expand into NYC, and with Tom Evans leading the charge, we are certain that we will be equally successful there as we have been for these many years in Los Angeles.

Industry Reaction
Commenting on Media Distributors expansion into the New York market, a number of leading LA-based post production executives were contacted. Their reactions are below:

** Kenneth Wiederman, President, New Jersey-based Wiederman & Associates, Inc., is the owner of a manufacturers rep company that sells Panasonic tape, among other products. He said, ?New York needs a well-established company like Media Distributors. There is such a plethora of production and post taking place here during the past year or so that very few other companies are up to the challenge of providing such a wealth of products and backing them with expert services. I truly wish them well.

** Barry Snyder, President, Post Logic, said, ?Im thrilled that Media Distributors is going into New York. They are highly connected with both the manufacturers of various film and tape products, as well as with numerous producers of film and television projects. Their attention to detail, speedy results and access to any quantity of stock large or small on short notice, has already earned them a respected place within our industry.

** Gary Migdal, President/CEO, LA Digital Post, said, ?Our company expanded into New York in June of this year, and from our perspective, New York has provided us with a great growth potential, and the opportunity to expand our client base significantly. Our post house is already 100% utilized. For Media Distributors, a supplier of videotape and film, to enter the New York arena is a natural growth opportunity for them at this time. There is obviously room there for a well-established software media supplier? their expansion makes perfect sense.
