Maximum Throughput's Sledgehammer Aids Napoleon GroupSledgehammer has The Napoleon Group's artists working instead of waiting (September 13, 2004)
Maximum Throughput Inc. (www.max-t.com), a provider of high performance, networked storage and media management solutions, announced today that The Napoleon Group NY has selected Sledgehammer as the networked storage solution for their facility. At The Napoleon Group, Sledgehammer is functioning as the high-speed content server, serving the various workstations and departments in the facility. The Napoleon Group joins a growing list of marquee customers in the United States, Europe, Canada and Asia
Doug Miller, General Manager of The Napoleon Group NY said, "we needed a storage system that could keep up with our production and work with the various platforms and operating systems for our different workgroups. We looked at various SAN products but wanted to add storage to our existing network, not create an entirely new network. Sledgehammer fit seamlessly into our existing environment and now enables us to work with large files and large numbers of files on all our systems with the speed we require."
Ken Kresgy, The Napoleon Group's Senior Editorial Artist added "Our creative people now spend more time creating and less time waiting for files to copy. We can work with files directly from the server, dramatically improving our workflow. The Sledgehammer helps us to avoid redundancy and allowed us to move to a central repository for files, instead of keeping files locally and moving them from workstation to workstation.
"The Napoleon Group is one of the top facilities in NY. We are pleased that they have chosen Sledgehammer to help them stay on the leading edge of post-production," commented John Miller, Max-T's VP of Worldwide Sales & Marketing.
