Marquis Broadcast and TMD Announce Medway Media Highway Integration With Mediaflex LE Media Asset Management System at IBC 20

(September 04, 2007)
DMN Newswire--2007-9-4--At IBC 2007, Marquis Broadcast (booth 2.148), specialist in broadcast workflow studies and software integration solutions, and TransMedia Dynamics (TMD) (booth 2.109), developer of advanced digital solutions for the broadcast and media industries, are announcing tight integration between Marquis' Medway media highway system and TMD's Mediaflex LE media asset management solution. The solution offers fully integrated, cost-effective workflow management for postproduction environments that use systems developed by Avid Technology.

Users will benefit from a seamless, fast and efficient end-to-end workflow that protects the media and its essential metadata as it moves between postproduction applications. Selected clips can be transferred between Mediaflex LE and Avid systems via Medway without operators having to worry about file incompatibilities that may otherwise occur due to the differences in file formats between the systems.

"The combination of Medway and Mediaflex LE enables us to provide media professionals with a high level of integration between post production systems such as Avid and the overall production workflow, and the reassurance that at the same time, valuable metadata is preserved," said Tony Taylor, managing director, TransMedia Dynamics.

"We are delighted to continue our relationship with TMD by demonstrating the integration of Medway and Mediaflex LE at IBC 2007," said Granby Patrick, Partner Director, Marquis Broadcast. "Together we are able to offer customers seamless integration between their postproduction applications which will enable them to achieve maximum workflow efficiencies."

Mediaflex LE incorporates all the core technology of TMD's flagship Mediaflex product, but in a modular, application specific format.  This makes it ideal for broadcasters who need a specific workflow or point solution to manage their particular postproduction and broadcast workflows. Medway provides a seamless highway for media transfers between systems by moving media in a data stream to achieve the fastest possible transfer rates while keeping network and disk usage to a minimum. It also manages the transfer of content to third party servers for playout or archiving as required.
