Markzware Announces FlightCheck 4.5New version supports QuarkXPress 5, InDesign 2
FlightCheck is a standalone application that preflights digital documents by checking for more than 150 potential printing problems, assists in corrections and collects job elements, such as images and fonts. The last major update, version 4.0, also added support for Microsoft Word documents and added several new features. These include:
- Seventy new views on the Views Palette that are essentially the same as the Ground Controls for colors, fonts and images. This allows you to get a specific list of just TIFF images, TrueType fonts, etc. You can also select from these 70 views when printing a report.
- Four new Ground Controls for detecting the presence of application-generated clipping paths, ICC profile usage, Postscript color space management and ink density (highest pixel value in rasterized TIFF or EPS images).
- A "Next Problem" button for locating the next occurrence of any problems based on the currently selected criteria, skipping pages that do not have any related problems.
Flightcheck 4.5 is available now for $499 for the full version or $99 for upgrades. Those who purchase version 4.5 from now on will receive a free upgrade to version 5.0 when it's released this summer.
