March Break at the Ontario Science Centre Promises SuperDogs(R), Movie Magic, Fire Fighters, and Leonardo da Vinci

This March Break the Ontario Science Centre asks: "Who let the dogs out?" as The Science of a SuperDog?? paws its way into the Centre for three shows daily from March 10-18. The Centre will be open for extended hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from March 10-18 inclusive. March Break is also the last opportunity for visitors to experience Leonardo da Vinci's Workshop - The Exhibition before it closes on March 18th.

President's Choice SuperDogs dance, jump, leap, weave, move and groove to funky Motown beats. Visitors will learn how these cuddly canines become SuperDogs during an exciting week of educational presentations focusing on dogs and their place in the global community. The Science of a SuperDog takes place daily March 10-18 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the Procter & Gamble Great Hall.

In addition, Toronto's own super dog, Sparky the Fire Dog will be at the Science Centre with members from Toronto Fire Fighters teaching about Fire Safety. Visitors can meet fire fighters and climb aboard a real fire truck, weather permitting, out front in TELUSCAPE. Fire Safety Week takes place March 12-16 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The team will help guests test a collection of props and demonstrations; create instant snow; make and see an audience member fly; and explore unusual make-up applications. Visitors will be swept up in this fun-filled, interactive scientific adventure that's sure to end with a bang! Movie Magic takes place daily March 10-18 at 12:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. in the Imperial Oil Auditorium.

Orange Drop, this year's March Break sponsor, is a recycling and safe disposal program for household hazardous waste, run by Stewardship Ontario, an industry-funded, not-for-profit organization. Visit the Orange Drop Recycling tent to find out about hazardous waste and how to safely dispose of it. See a battery recycling display, as well as cool furniture made from recycled materials. Everyone can play with the touch screen sorting games, and kids can draw and design using our magnetized whiteboards! And of course there will be great hand-outs for visitors including lots of swag.
