Marble Cloud, formerly IronKey, Launches New Cloud Security Service for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Platforms

(October 15, 2012)

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 15, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Marble Cloud, formerly
IronKey, is introducing Marble Access, a cloud
access management solution comprised of Marble App, Marble Network
and Marble Cloud management service. Marble Access is now available
on iPhones, iPads, Macs, laptops, PCs, Android smartphones and
tablets, and any other Windows, Linux or iOS endpoints.

Unlike antivirus, firewall and other signature-based solutions
that remain vulnerable to zero-day attacks, Marble Access provides
an end-to-end hardened environment that is invulnerable to Trojans,
man-in-the-middle, man-in-the-browser, malevolent Wi-Fi networks,
DNS poisoning and other state-of-the-threat attacks.

Marble Access is a secure multi-layer environment for accessing
the cloud on any employee-owned computer that enables companies to
reduce IT costs, risk and complexity by securely using BYOD and
cloud services in an extended enterprise IT infrastructure.
Any user - contractor, remote worker, customer, or supply chain
partner - can securely access enterprise provisioned public and
private clouds, from anywhere, on any of their own
devices.

The Marble Access solution is comprised of these elements:

     ---  Marble
App
.  Employees and consultants can easily download
and install the Marble App from anywhere in the world.  This
app is self-configuring, based on policies defined by enterprise on
the Marble Cloud management service.  The Marble App is
hardened and isolated from malware and keystroke loggers, making it
the safest way to access cloud services from any device.

     ---  Marble
Network
VPN service.  End users can access the Marble
Network, an on-the-go VPN service that encrypts all cloud access on
any Wi-Fi hotspot in the world.  Secure DNS with real-time
blacklists prevents users from visiting phishing, malware
distribution and other fraudulent websites.

     ---  Marble Cloud
management service.  IT Administrators simply define policies
across PC and mobile device platforms for cloud access control,
endpoint security, VPN configuration, cloud access whitelists,
malware scanning and jailbreak detection on the cloud
service.  A risk dashboard gives full visibility and control
to the IT Admin including employee and consultant use of the
system.

Marble Access provides enterprises, banks and government
organizations with a complete end-to-end cloud access management
solution that is fully isolated from and invulnerable to any
endpoint or network threats such as zero-day attacks from Trojans,
keyloggers, man-in-the-middle, man-in-the-browser, malevolent Wi-Fi
networks and DNS poisoning.  Other key benefits include:

---  Enables bring your own device
(BYOD) and secure use of unmanaged employee devices

     ---  Protects users even from
malware on their own  device

     ---  Prevents data loss to
capitalize on cloud computing

     ---  Eliminates endpoint hardware
and management costs

Long term partner RynohLive operates a patented financial
management and fraud prevention system for the real estate
settlement industry that ensures the integrity of financial
transactions in any business setting.  The company relies on
Marble's end-to-end security to help prevent fraud before
it takes place.

"The real estate settlement industry moves more than one
trillion dollars per year through escrow, and is under constant
threat from fraud and cyber-attack," said Dick Reass, president and
founder of RynohLive.  "Our commitment is to provide Absolute
Escrow Protection to the settlement industry, and we've been
offering IronKey to our clients for years as part of that
commitment.  Now as Marble, the company's move into mobile and
cloud access control can keep our clients on the cutting edge of
best practices in our industry, which is very exciting for us."

The Marble Access platform also enables IT security teams
to:

     ---  Manage policies in one
central location from the Marble Cloud security service

     ---  Meet compliance and risk
management standards, even on employee and consultant-owned
devices

     ---  Support all mobile and
desktop devices - Mac, PC, Android and iOS

     ---  Grant access to internal
and external cloud services

     ---  Prevent risky user behavior
inside Marble Apps using integrated whitelisting and blacklisting
and other policy controls

     ---  Significantly lower
infrastructure management costs and reduce complexity

A New Paradigm for Endpoint and Cloud
Security

Criminals, hactivists and malevolent nation-states continue to
succeed in their attacks on enterprise, banking and government IT
infrastructures for only one reason: an outdated over reliance on
detect-and-patch countermeasures like antivirus and firewalls that
fail to protect endpoints and network connections.

"Internet and cloud security is fundamentally broken, and you
don't need to look past the daily headlines about hackers' latest
successes to know it," said Dave Jevans, founder and CTO of
Marble.  Jevans is also the chairman of the Anti-Phishing
Working Group (APWG) and a leading voice in FS-ISAC, the FBI
sponsored cooperative banking security initiative.  "The
Marble platform turns the endpoint and cloud security paradigm on
its head.  The difference between our approach and everyone
else boils down to isolation, an integrated, multi-layer approach
that has already proven to be more effective at preventing zero-day
attacks than detect and patch," argues Jevans.

The confluence of a number of changes in the IT landscape has
created the clearly evident problems with Internet, network and
cloud security.  First, the proliferation of BYOD, smart
phones, tablets, and the use of cloud and mobile apps have opened
many attack vectors for hackers.  Second, endpoint protection
relies on signature-based technologies like antivirus, which are
only effective after a find, patch and update cycle, leaving a
period of vulnerability called zero-day.  Third, continued use
of passwords for user authentication exacerbate the problem, as
these are easily stolen by Trojans and other techniques and used to
compromise network access.  Finally, the incredible increase
in the sophistication of hacker tools like SpyEye and Zeus Trojans
and their legions of botnets have made in easy for hackers to mount
massive attacks and make every day a zero-day.

Marble Access changes the paradigm of the security industry
because it starts with the assumption that an endpoint and a
network connection are compromised, and must protect the endpoint
user anyway.  It works by creating hardened endpoint clients
that are isolated from Trojans, keyboard loggers,
man-in-the-browser, bad apps and other threats on the
endpoint.  These secure browser clients are then linked using
cryptography and strong authentication through a multi-layer
security system that includes a trusted network and a cloud-based
managed authentication and risk analytic service.  This
combination provides a complete end-to-end cloud access management
solution that is fully isolated from and invulnerable to any
endpoint or network threats.

About Marble

Marble
Cloud
enables companies to reduce IT costs, risk and
complexity by securely using BYOD and cloud services in an extended
enterprise IT infrastructure.  Any user - contractor, remote
worker, customer, or supply chain partner - can securely access
enterprise provisioned public and private clouds, from anywhere, on
any of their own devices using the Marble App, Marble Network and
Marble Cloud management service.

Marble Access, the world's most secure way to surf the web and
access private and public cloud services, was developed by the team
that created IronKey, the world's most secure storage and Web
surfing products. The use of hard-shelled virtualized and
cryptographic containers on any client device linked with Marble's
multilayer platform that includes a trusted network connection and
management system distinguish Marble security from any other
solution available today. Unlike antivirus, firewall and other
signature-based solutions that remain vulnerable to zero-day
attacks, Marble provides an end-to-end hardened platform that is
invulnerable to Trojans, man-in-the-middle, man-in-the-browser,
malevolent Wi-Fi networks, DNS poisoning and other
state-of-the-threat attacks.  Marble clients provide a
consistent user experience across all available endpoints including
Android smart phones and tablets, iPads, iPhones, Macs and Windows
or Linux PCs.

Marble helps enterprises, banks and governments save money by
allowing employees to use their own devices, while simultaneously
reducing the risks of data breaches, online fraud and humiliation
at the hands of criminals, hactivists and malevolent
nation-states.
