EAST MACHIAS, Maine (AP) ' Republicans from more than two dozen towns in a Maine county are gathering for a presidential caucus that was postponed by bad weather, but it's unclear whether their votes will be included in the party's official state tally.
Washington County Republicans postponed their caucus last weekend because of a snowstorm. It's being held Saturday afternoon.
The county chairman was furious when he learned the delayed votes wouldn't be included in official tallies.
The GOP says Mitt Romney narrowly defeated Ron Paul in a weeklong series of caucuses.
County Chairman Chris Gardner says it was unfair to exclude the county's caucus because of a snowstorm and the state party should include it in the final results, regardless whether it affects the outcome.
The Republican State Committee will consider the request next month.
