Macromedia Updates Freehand MXVersion 11.0.1 gets numerous bug fixes
The 11.0.1 update fixes numerous bugs on both Macintosh and Windows systems. There are far too many to list here, but they range from fixes to minor system-specific bugs, such as dealing with corrupt fonts or bad color profiles, to fixes for more major problems that may have caused Freehand MX to crash in certain circumstances. The new version also includes enhancements for working with various file types, including importing and exporting, and improvements for dealing with placed images, including 1-bit TIFFs and images containing alpha channels. Keyboard shortcuts have also been updated to include shortcut keys for Quit and Close dialogs in Mac OS X.
Freehand MX 11.0.1 is available now for Mac OS X and Windows as a free update for current users. Note, however, that the download requires users to adopt Macromedia's new activation system and to switch to a new serial number, which is provided during the download process.
