Macromedia Ships JRun 4 for Mac OS X

ColdFusion MX for J2EE Application Servers also released By Dave Nagel
Macromedia has released JRun 4 for Mac OS X. JRun is a J2EE-compatible application server for delivering Java applications on the Web. It's available now.

According to Macromedia, JRun 4 "takes advantage of the power and stability of Mac OS X to deliver a fast and reliable server platform for J2EE applications." It includes development, management and administration tools for Java applications.


Macromedia also announced the developer edition of Macromedia ColdFusion MX for J2EE Application Servers for Mac OS X. ColdFusion MX for J2EE Application Servers adds ColdFusion scripting capabilities to J2EE application servers. This is the first release of a ColdFusion server environment for the Macintosh and allows users of Macromedia Studio MX developers to create and test ColdFusion MX applications on the Mac OS X platform.

JRun 4 is available now for $899 per processor. The Developer Edition of ColdFusion MX for J2EE Application Servers is available now as a free download. For more information, visit http://www.macromedia.com.
