Macromedia Offers New Pricing Plans On Breeze Live

New purchase plans lower the barrier to entry for web conferencing (September 03, 2004)

Macromedia today announced new web conferencing purchase plans that, for as low as 32 cents per minute, bring the power of Macromedia Breeze Live web conferencing to everyone. Through affordable hosted monthly and Pay-Per-Use accounts, small to medium-sized businesses benefit from the convenience and cost savings of online meetings. A wide range of customers, including American Express, Federal Express, McDonald's Canada, SBC, TicketMaster, and the city of West Haven, have already adopted Breeze Live to deliver more effective internal and external communications. "Macromedia web design and development tools have enabled thousands of small businesses to deliver innovative online experiences that are comparable to those delivered on large company websites," said Tom Hale, general manager, Macromedia. "With these new purchase plans, we're now enabling individuals and smaller companies to deliver sales presentations and interact with their clients using a robust, professional web conferencing platform."

With Pay-Per-Use Breeze Live pricing of 32 cents per minute per user, Macromedia empowers small businesses to meet online at any time for collaboration or live presentations. In addition, all Breeze Live customers will benefit from the unique ability to maintain persistent meeting rooms within their account, ensuring that recurring sales and client meetings have all of the required assets every time without time-consuming setup and configuration. Due to the ubiquity of Macromedia Flash Player, the instant-on nature of Breeze meetings is also a benefit in that meeting participants do not have to download any additional software to experience the robust conferencing solution.

Breeze solutions provide a rich web communication system that enables users to hold collaborative real-time meetings, instructor-led classes, and seminars. Breeze leverages Microsoft PowerPoint and Macromedia Flash Player to enable approximately 500 million web users to immediately experience engaging online meetings and rich content.

Industry analysis firm Wainhouse Research recently chronicled its positive experience using Macromedia Breeze. Wainhouse Research cited Breeze as a tool that effectively builds on the ubiquity of both Flash and PowerPoint while also adding cutting-edge features such as video and voice over IP. The firm commended Breeze for its ease of use and gave Breeze a Wainhouse Research Score of 4.5 on a scale of one to five.

"Macromedia is providing a distinctive solution by building on standard business tools and its widely-deployed Flash Player technology to deliver instant-on web conferencing," said Paul Ritter, research director, Wainhouse Research. "Business buyers look for ease of use and a range of pricing options when purchasing conferencing solutions. The intuitive user experience of Breeze coupled with the new pricing plans position Macromedia to be a formidable competitor in this market."

Macromedia Breeze delivers the first rich web communication system, allowing organizations to communicate, collaborate, and train via an easy-to-use solution that includes everything from on-demand delivery of training and presentations to rich, instantly available live meetings.
