Mac CinePaint Gets Update

New version optimized for Apple X11 By Dave Nagel
The Mac version of the CinePaint installer/launcher has been updated. CinePaint is the relatively new name for Film Gimp, an open-source graphics application targeted toward filmmakers. The update is available now as a free download.

CinePaint is a graphics tool that offers support for 16-bit-per-pixel color and a frame manager for working with multiple-frame files. It runs in Unix and WIndows environments, including X11 and other environments on the Macintosh. The update enhances the Mac CinePaint launcher and installer, which has been rewritten in Cocoa and optimized for Apple's X11. It also fixes administrator password errors and a libpng issue and removes extra dependencies.

Mac CinePaint 16-3 is available now as a free download. For more information, visit
