MaaS360 Presents Webinar on GSAs Successes in Managing Mobile Devices from the Cloud(June 23, 2011)
Blue Bell, PA (PRWEB) June 22, 2011
MaaS360®, the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) company, today announced a free live Webinar titled GSA Discovers New Ways to Manage Mobile Devices from the Cloud on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern. Thomas Eaton, Information Systems Security Manager at the Office of the CIO of the U.S., will provide attendees with best practices learned while successfully rolling out a cloud-based mobile device solution to more than 16,000 U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) endpoints in less than one week. GSA is responsible for developing better ways for federal agencies to conduct business, resulting in more productive and effective operations.
With the growing usage of mobile devices and telework, the GSA recognized the need for a new approach to manage all their devices and gain visibility into hardware, software, security implications as well as device power consumption. At the same time, the GSA was in the midst of a shift to the "Cloud First" policy - the government's strategy to identify legacy IT solutions that could be moved to the cloud to reduce costs and increase operational efficiencies. In the webinar, Thomas Eaton will discuss the GSAs journey to achieve total enterprise device management from the cloud. Learn from GSA's challenges, their mobile device management selection and implementation process, and understand how they benefit from cloud-based mobile device management.
This event is part of MaaS360s Mobility Operations, Resources and Experts (MORE) series of Webinars that provide information on how to get more from mobility investments. Twice every month, MaaS360 provides IT leaders and managers with insights, best practices, and expertise from Fiberlinks Customer Platform Services (CPS) team. The next webinar in the series will take place on July 7th at 2:00 p.m. ET, when Fiberlinks Chris Corbet presents Mobile Device Management in a Post-BlackBerry World.
