MaPZone Challenges

Free Procedural Texture Software Competition By Ko Maruyama
MaPZone is now free software which allows users to design their own unique procedural textures for 3D models.  The exported texture fit perfectly into the ProFX pipeline to deliver textures to video games.

The MaPZone Challenge is finally open, allowing you to test your skills with MaPZone and share tips with other users. Although a recent addition to the Allegorithmic site (the second contest just finished), the community is building.

While there were only 3 entries in last month's contest, they were excellent.  Using the shaders in bump, specular and displacement materials as well as the color shows the depth of what is possible.

Be sure to check in for news of the next contest and download the software so you can be ready when it comes around.
