MUSICMATCH and RIAA Sign Webcast Licensing Deal(July 16, 2001)
MUSICMATCH has been operating its MUSICMATCH Radio service since November 2000 under the statutory webcasting license provided by the 1998 Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). MUSICMATCH's agreement with the RIAA establishes terms for the Webcasting of music performances on the MUSICMATCH Radio service under the DMCA statutory license.

"This agreement ensures that MUSICMATCH Radio will continue to evolve as an exciting music discovery experience for consumers and a powerful promotional vehicle for the music industry."

MUSICMATCH Radio is currently one of the most popular radio networks on the Internet, streaming more than 4.0 million Aggregate Tuning Hours of music programming to 828,000 unique listeners each month. MUSICMATCH Radio MX, the company's premium music subscription service has also achieved early success with music fans, attracting more than 12,500 subscribers since its introduction two months ago.
