MRS Communications launched in 2011 to serve the international materials research community. Published by the Materials Research Society (MRS) in partnership with Cambridge University Press, the journal is a full-color, online-only peer-reviewed publication with supplementary materials and multimedia content appearing on the state-of-the-art platform, Cambridge Journals Online (CJO).
The journal offers a free, direct channel to the 16,000-strong global MRS audience, as well as leading academic, industrial and government libraries worldwide. It allows authors an exceptionally rapid review process and time-to-publication, drawing on the expertise of foremost MRS members led by Editor-in-Chief, Peter Green.
The journal aims to play a significant part in establishing future directions for the broad materials science community, by bringing together researchers and professionals from the full range of materials fields including physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and engineering, to identify and report on trends in research.
