Dallas, TX, October 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- MMA Applications and Texas MMA Shop announce the release of “MMA Grappling - Side Control” taught by 4 x Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion Bruno Bastos to add to its growing portfolio of video based instructional Apps for Mixed Martial Arts.
The MMA Grappling Side Control application for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad provides extensive detail into how to secure and execute the submissions from Side Control and from the bottom. With 28 high definition videos this application aims to ensure that beginner and experienced Mixed Martial Artists, Grapplers and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners are successful in their sport.
"It is an honor to have one of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practioners in the world be our instructor. Bruno is a four time world champion and currently one of the best grapplers in the world," said Ricardo Castro, Co-founder of MMA Applications.
“It is a pleasure working with MMA Applications and it's amazing how technology can help us these days, literally in the palm of your hands. In this App I tried to be as practical and detailed as I could since I know how frustrating techniques can be when applied incorrectly. Flashy techniques won't help you at all. Those are the most frustrating ones because they are simply not effective. I just wanted to stick with fundamentals and effective techniques that can really make a difference in your game. I want everyone to enjoy it and have fun. MMA Applications is revolutionizing the way we can learn Jiu-Jitsu and giving users the opportunity to be coached by different coaches, from different styles and different parts of the world, it's just awesome," said Bruno Bastos, four time world champion and coach to Strikeforce MMA fighter Mo Lawal.
The application includes the following:
28 High Definition instructional videos shot in the octagon
Details four different bases for Side Control and how to control your opponent
Submissions from Side Control
Submissions from the bottom
“MMA Submissions – Side Control” is the ninth mixed martial arts instructional App for the iPhone. Other Apps include “MMA Grappling – The Guard”, “MMA Grappling – Guard Flow”, “MMA Strikes 1” , “Passing The Guard - MMA Grappling”, MMA Strength and Conditioning”, “ MMA Submissions Ankle Locks” and “MMA Grappling Lite” and can be downloaded from the MMA Applications site in the App Store.
