MAXON @ SIGGRAPH R10 PaintBODYPAINT 3D's works with non-MAXON software
With the introduction of R10, MAXON merged the options for their painting tools into the software package with modeling and animation. It would be easy to allude to the merging of features that Adobe has recently done in After Effects, bringing the standard software and professional packages together - except that MAXON did it first. It doesn't really matter who was first - but with the Power Integration Tour underway, it seems like a ready reference.
Bodypaint 3D is just a click away in the application - and with the easy integration between Bodypaint's work method and Adobe Photoshop's tool - 3D artists can work with 2D designers easily. However, if you use MAYA, MAX, LIGHTWAVE, or other 3D application, MAXON offers BODYPAINT 3D as a stand alone application to work with your existing 3D modeling and animation package.
At the time of this article, you still have a chance to see it (an even better presentation of it) during MAXON and Adobe's Power Integration Tour : Dallas August 21, and Denver August 23.
See the MAXON website for more.
