M-Audio Unveils FireWire 410Audio/MIDI interface provides 192 kHz output
The FireWire 410 offers 2x8 24-bit analog I/O with up to 192 kHz output and 96 kHz input. It includes digital I/O with S/PDIF, AC3 and DTS (coaxial and optical) and 1x1 MIDI I/O. The new unit also features dual mic/instrument preamps with 66 dB gain control and phantom power; two headphone outs; zero-latency hardware monitoring and low-latency software monitoring; software-assigned level controller; analog outs for up to 7.1 surround sound; and two FireWire ports.
M-Audio says the FireWire 410 offers a 20-40 kHz frequency response (+/- 1 dB), signal to noise of -108 dB and A-weighted dynamic range of 108 dB. The unit weighs in at 2.95 pounds and measures 9.25" x 7" x 1.875".
