M-Audio Adds G5 Support for Revolution 7.1Audio driver also adds new speaker sets, Panther support
The Revolution 7.1 is a PCI-based audio card for Macintosh and Windows systems. Classed in M-Audio's consumer line, the card nevertheless provides high-definition output (24-bit, 192 kHz) and 24-bit, 96 kHz recording. Aside from supporting up to 7.1 channels of output, it also provides DTS output and decoding for Dolby Digital 5.1 and EX (6.1), real-time stereo-to-surround conversion and SRS Circle Surround II technology. It offers a 100 dB 107 dB signal to noise ratio (AD and DA, respectively) and offers bass management and other parameter controls. The new 1.2.7 driver adds support for the Macintosh G5, as well as support for Mac OS X 10.2.7, Mac OS X 10.2.8 and Mac OS X 10.3 (the upcoming Panther release). It also adds support for 4.0 and 5.0 speaker sets.
