Lightware Drops Projector Prices

500-lumen model down to $1,095 By Dave Nagel
Lightware has dropped the price of the Scout and Scout XL digital projectors by $600 each. The projectors are both 5-pound portable models and now sell for $1,095 and $1,395, respectively. The Lightware Scout family of projectors is powered by the company's Optimum Projection Technology (OPT) single-panel polysilicon LCD light engine.

The Scout XL is a 700-lumen projector with full multimedia capabilities. It includes a one-touch auto setup button, allowing users to switch between compouters, DVDs, digital camcorders and TVs. The projector provides VGA through XGA resolution (native 800 x 600).

The Scout features native SVGA resolution and 500-lumen brightness. It has controls for image sharpness, brightness, positioning and volume, as well as adjustments for room lighting.

Both projectors come bundled with all necessary cables, remote control and a soft carrying case. For more information, visit http://www.lightware.com.
