LifeKraze Taps Entrepreneur and Media Executive Jay Kelley as New President

  (May 16, 2012)

Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) May 16, 2012

Social media startup LifeKraze today announced that Jay Kelley has joined their team as President. Kelley is tasked with expanding the platforms user base, growing its advertising revenue streams and helping prepare the company for the launch of its iPhone and Android apps this summer.

Before joining LifeKraze, Kelley was a founding executive of Documentary Channel, a national cable and satellite network. Kelley raised much of the initial seed capital for the network and served in a variety of management positions during his 9-year tenure with the company. He was instrumental in growing the networks reach to over 27 million households, and responsible for developing partnerships with numerous Fortune 500 brands including P&G, ExxonMobil and Red Bull.

Jay is a critical addition to our team, said LifeKraze CEO Ben Wagner. His proven capabilities and leadership, particularly in the startup setting, make him a great fit for LifeKraze.

The company has been beta-testing a web-based version of their service since March of 2011, and in its first year has developed partnerships with a number of lifestyle brands, including Powerade, The North Face and Mens Health Magazine.

I am both honored and thrilled to join the LifeKraze team, said Kelley. The platform they have built is unique in the social media world, and its emphasis on encouraging active lifestyles presents the opportunity to positively impact lives on a broad scale.

The company intends to build on its momentum this summer with the release of custom apps for the iPhone and Android devices.
