Lexmark Unveils Printer Lineup

Photo printers offer 4,800 x 1,200 DPI resolution By Dave Nagel
Lexmark today unveiled its new lineup of inkjet printers. These include two new photo printers and one entry-level inkjet, as well as three new all in one models.

The new photo printers offer a maximum 4,800 x 1,200 DPI resolution on photo paper. The Z700 Photo Jetprinter series is capable of borderless printing and offers six-color photo print capability using an optional photo cartridge. The Z700 features automatic cartridge alignment and PrecisionSense technology, which automatically adjusts the driver according to the paper type. And it can print up to 17 pages per minute in black. It will be available for $79.99.

The P700 series offers the same technology as the Z700 but also includes onboard camera card readers supporting CompactFlash I and II, Secure Digital, SmartMedia, Memory Stick and MultiMediaCard cards. It also ships with both a color and photo cartridge for six-color printing. It will be available for $99.99.
