Lexmark Intros 20 PPM Color Printer$3,000 models prints color at 20 PPM
The new color printers will be available in a variety of configurations ranging in price from $3,000 to $6,250. The base model c750 prints at 20 PPM in both monochrome and color at 1,200 x 1,200 DPI. The color printer uses single-pass technology to achieve its print speed. It can handle letter-sized media and will be available for $2,999 to $4,900, depending on configuration.
The C910, another of the color printers introduced today, supports 11 inch x 17 inch media and offers speeds of 28 PPM in both color and monochrome. It can be equipped with expanded paper handling capabilities, such as duplex, stapling, hole punching and offset stacking. (Some options will not be available until March 2002.) The C910 will be available in November in various configurations ranging from $3,999 to $6,250.
The company's new monochrome printers (the E320, E322 and E322N), available now, start at $299 and offer print speeds of 16 PPM.
Lexmark also introduced a new multifunction printer, the X820e, which is a 45 PPM printer and fax device targeted for network environments. It is also available now for $12,999.
