Benny starts his latest blog post with a rather surprising fact that 19% of young people have dropped their iPhone into the toilet. Perhaps a reminder as to how fragile iPhones really are.

Benny then proceeds to list many disastrous things that could happen to anyones iPhone during the course of a normal day. These include:

  • Placed into a pocket and then dropped into a toilet while standing to flush.
  • Catapulted from the top of a rollercoaster.
  • Dropped behind a car tire and ran over as the car reverses.
  • Tossed into a bucket of mop water by a child.

Benny then explains that one way to protect against this is the purchase of iPhone insurance.

That is now an option for iPhone owners, with even AT&T finally allowing customers to purchase iPhone insurance through them he says.

For those who dont want the expense of insurance, Benny suggests a good durable case, such as the OtterBox. However, he makes it clear that while the Otterbox will protect an iPhone from everyday bumps and scratches, it often wont protect an iPhone from more extreme torture.

With this in mind, Benny introduces his readers to a brand new iPhone case called LifeProof.

Not only does this case say it protects against being dropped, tossed, stepped on, and whatever else you can do to an iPhone, the company is so confident its phone can survive underwater that the company website encourages people to make underwater movies using the phone Benny adds.

Benny believes that the case really is the best choice for die-hard iPhone fans. He praises it for its rock-solid performance, and also the fact that it is virtually bulk free.
