Large Colo. blaze nearly containedLower temps, high humidity help crews in fight against Colo. blaze, now nearly contained
DENVER (AP) ' Fire officials say a wildfire that had forced dozens to evacuate earlier in the week is now nearly contained.
The report that the blaze was 85 percent contained came late Saturday night.
Lower temperatures and higher humidity during the day helped crews battling a blaze that has scorched 12 square miles in northern Colorado.
The fire started Monday about 20 miles northwest of Fort Collins and prompted officials to temporarily evacuate about 80 homes.
The Colorado blaze is one of several burning in the West.
