Konkeptoine Announces LightRig for Electric Image Universe

Lighting plugin simulates HDRI imagery By Dave Nagel
Konkeptoine has announced a new plugin for Electric Image Universe called LightRig. It's expected to be available in May.

LightRig is a plugin designed to replicate lights, placing any number of user-defined lights over the surface of an object. The lights then inherit the color of the object if it's textures by a bitmap, and it can read polygon colors as well. Other features include:

  • Light intensity based on painted weight maps;
  • Ability to place multiple lights with one click;
  • Ability to simulate HDRI imagery.

LightRig will be available May 15. Between now and then, the introductory price is $119. After May 15, the price will be $139. It supports Electric Image Universe 4.08 and 5.0.x on Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Windows. For more information, visit
