Konica Debuts 8 Megapixel SLRNew midrange cameras also announced
The DiMAGE A2 is an SLR-style digital camera, the successor to the A1. The new model offers a resolution of 8 megapixels and includes a Super Fine Electronic Viewfinder to provide VGA-resolution (922,000 pixels) previews while shooting and viewing images. Other features include new 3D autofocusing (AF) system with 3D Predicative Focus Control and Movement tracking; built-in f/2.8 - 3.5 7x optical zoom lens; apochromatic (APO) lens design employing anomalous dispersion (AD) glass; body-integrated anti-shake function; CxProcess II Image Processing technology; UHS continuous advance rate of seven frames per second; USB 2.0 support; and compatibility with portable and studio flash systems.
Konica also announced two mid-range models, the DiMAGE Z2 and the DiMAGE Xg. The Z2 is a 4 megapixel digital camera that offers Super Macro Mode, Progressive Capture, CxProcess II image processing, manual focus, built-in flash and Predictive Focus Control. It also offers a 10x, f2.8 - f3.5, all-glass APO lens. The Xg is a 3.2 megapixel camera, a compact model with a 3x optical zoom lens; improved start-up speeds over its predecessor, the DiMAGE Xt; five scene modes; CxProcess II image processing; five-point autofocus; and key customization for controls.
