Kodak Updates Imaging Software

New version supports Mac OS X By Dave Nagel
Kodak has announced version 3.0 of its DCS Photo Desk software. Photo Desk is an image management application for users of Kodak's DCS digital cameras. It will be packaged with Kodak's cameras beginning in December.

According to Kodak, Photo Desk 3.0 offers workflow improvements to speed up image manipulation It includes support for RAW images, as well as TIFFs and JPEGs. The software offers new noise reduction and image sharpening enhancements, such as new slider tools within the user interface, for simplification of the image adjustment process. And it offers extended illuminant control functionality, including the ability to select color temperature in Kelvin. It can also import images directly into Adobe Photoshop 7.
