Kodak Adds Bitonal Model To i600 Series Scannersi610 scanner is upgradeable for more speed, color capabilities as needs change (May 16, 2005)

The KODAK i610 Scanner was created for all companies, organizations, and government agencies that work with applications that are bitonal. The black-and-white-only i610 a duplex scanner that fits on a desktop features speeds up to 80 pages per minute (ppm) and has a peak daily volume of up to 60,000 pages.
The i610 was unveiled in conjunction with Kodaks participation in the AIIM On Demand Conference & Exposition in Philadelphia from May 17-19. The i600 Series made up of the i620, i640, and i660 Scanners earned a ?Best of Show award at last years AIIM On Demand Conference.

The i600 Series Scanners were designed with an upgrade path, which means that the i610 can add speed and/or color scanning as an enterprises needs change by providing an extra dimension to its operational versatility.
Like other scanners in the i600 Series, the i610 is virtually jam-free, designed for smooth paper transport from input to output. With features like Perfect Page Scanning with iThresholding, the i610 offers Kodaks renowned image quality, delivering clean, crisp images at full speed, which reduces pre-sorting, re-scans, and post-image processing.
With so many improved scanning features and options, the i610 represents the next evolutionary phase of the KODAK DIGITAL SCIENCE Scanner 3520, a bitonal model that is being discontinued. Fans of the Scanner 3520 will find that the i610 easily adapts to existing applications, offers added flexibility with several new options, and costs less.
The KODAK i610 Scanner, which is supported by the latest version of KODAK Capture Software, Version 6.7, features a standard IEEE-1394 (FIREWIRE) interface, an adjustable automatic document-feeder elevator, bundled ISIS & TWAIN drivers for trouble-free system integration, and a document length capability up to 34 inches.
The i610 has a U.S. list price of $20,000, making it one of the most affordable models in its class. The KODAK i610 Scanner is backed by industry-leading, Kodak-delivered service and support with a 90-day on-site warranty.
