Kaydara Offers FBX Component for QuickTime

Software supports real-time 3D visualization through QuickTime By Dave Nagel
Kaydara has released FBX for QuickTime, a free QuickTime component that allows for real-time viewing of content from major 3D packages. It's available for Macintosh and WIndows and is being shown this week at the Macworld convention in San Francisco.

FBX for QuickTime is designed to allow producers and artists to visualize and sign off on 3D content using QuickTime. (FBX itself is a platform-independent 3D authoring and interchange format.) According to Kaydara, the software for QuickTime is "fully cross-platform and allows both Mac and PC users to visualize as well as interact with 3D content. Combined with QuickTime Pro, FBX for QuickTime provides digital artists with a new media type for authoring, allowing them to combine and composite 3D with video, audio and images from all supported QuickTime formats."

The FBX for QuickTime component is available from Apple's Web site at For more information about FBX, visit
