KV2 Audio Loudspeaker Systems Make NAMM DebutInstalled and portable live sound loudspeaker systems (July 14, 2004)
KV2 Audio will be seen for the first time at a NAMM Show since American Music & Sound (AM&S) signed-on as the U.S. distributor for the manufacturer's installed and portable live sound loudspeaker systems earlier this year. KV2 Audio's products will be on show at the Booth #4214, Gaylord Entertainment Center, Nashville, TN, July 23-25, 2004.
KV2 Audio produces the compact, modular ES Series and EX Series of loudspeaker systems, which combine advanced acoustic and transducer technology with perfectly matched processing and amplification in a convenient turnkey package for small to medium-sized live and playback applications, portable PA systems for speech/multimedia playback, mobile DJ, stage monitoring, and fixed installations.
KV2 Audio's ES Series is built around two core components, the 3-way ES 1.0, a high output, active-driven, compact mid/high/mid-bass speaker module, and the EPAK 2500, a 4-way, active control and amplification system specifically designed for the ES Series. This core system may be combined with a choice of three bass modules.
The ES 1.5 features a 15-inch driver and is designed exclusively to operate below 100 Hz. The ES 1.8 is a single 18-inch bass module that provides tight, up-front, low frequency reinforcement via a front-loaded design with large-format porting that provides improved attack and definition. The double 15-inch ES 2.5 delivers very high speaker loading and output from a relatively small cabinet footprint and is ideal for use in live applications that require reproduction of low frequencies with very high transient content.
The EX Series embodies KV2 Audio's primary philosophy of increased dynamic range, very high output and a consistent sound character no matter what the output level. The series encompasses the EX10, EX 2.2 and the EX 2.5.
The EX 10 is a 2-way, high output, active, compact, full-range speaker system designed for a wide variety of applications. The system includes on-board speaker system management, a very high-quality 50 Watt, low IM distortion Class A/B high-frequency amplifier with transformer-balanced output, and a 450 Watt high-efficiency, current-enhancing, switch mode technology, low frequency amplifier with linear active filter.
The EX 2.2 is a compact, 1000-watt dual 12-inch subwoofer with current enhancing switch mode technology. The module features built-in electronic high-pass filter, phase and independent output level controls. The 1600-watt dual 15-inch EX 2.5 subwoofer also delivers tight, fast, controlled bass response at very high levels. The built-in electronic high pass filter, phase and independent output level controls may be defeated to allow the EX 2.5 to be driven by third party speaker management systems.
