KLOTZ DIGITAL AEON radio on-air console
With this installation KLOTZ DIGITAL has started the initial phase of the nationwide AEON roll-out and has begun shipping its radio on-air console to customers in the US. The AEON is a cost-effective high-performance mixing solution designed to meet the budgets of small and medium radio stations and was launched simultaneously in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. Prices start at $10,000 including surface, audio engine and audio platform.
Lawrence M. Berger, Executive Director of SLB Radio Productions, is very pleased with his new digital audio mixer. ?AEON is very easy and simple to use - a feature that is very important to us, since children will be learning to operate the console, he said. ?This notwithstanding it has every feature an experienced broadcaster desires. The equipment looks stunning, an important factor as we are literally on display to over 100,000 annual visitors, Mr. Berger adds. ?As a non-profit corporation we at SLB had to build our new studio within a tight budget. With AEON we chose the latest technology available at a reasonable price.
The new AEON radio console
The AEON digital radio on-air console is equipped with an integrated state-of-the-art router and opens up to full audio networking. This dynamic audio matrix has the ability to assign any signal anywhere and offers powerful macro programming, snapshot and preset management and mix-minus capabilities for complex broadcasting requirements.
AEON is based on the companys ultra slim console modules, each module in its own housing that can be arranged to create split or single console surfaces. AEON is available with 8, 12 and 16-fader control surfaces with professional features like 100mm faders, alphanumeric displays with 16 characters in two lines per channel, as well as large ON/OFF buttons, CUE/PFL, programmable TalkBack functions, freely assignable routing and function key, status indication LEDs for the most important parameters and functions, and is supported by an easy-to-use console screen software with powerful features.
The ?AEON Setup Tool software (AST) is included and offers users a huge number of different useful functions and options, enabling the configuration of the system exactly according to ones personal requirements.
