Judge to rule in murder case of Pa. boy, then 11

Judge to rule on Pa. boy charged with killing dad's pregnant fianc e when he was 11 By The Associated Press

PITTSBURGH (AP) ' A judge is scheduled to reveal his verdict in the case of a Pennsylvania boy who was 11 when he was charged with killing his father's pregnant fianc e and her unborn child.

Attorneys say Lawrence County Judge John Hodge told them he'll issue the verdict at 2 p.m. Friday in the closed juvenile court trial of now-14-year-old Jordan Brown. He's accused of shooting 26-year-old Kenzie Houk with a shotgun in February 2009 inside the New Galilee farmhouse they shared.

Houk was eight months pregnant. Her baby also died.

Brown was initially charged as an adult, but his case was eventually moved to juvenile court and the trial closed to the public.

If Brown is found guilty, he can be confined until he's 21. Brown's family and friends say he's innocent.
