John Storyk to Offer Architectural and Acoustic Design TipsApril 5 event takes place at New Dale Pro Audio Demo Complex
In one of the first of an on-going series of industry events planned for the new Dale Pro Audio technology showroom / demo complex, John Storyk, principal designer and architect for Walters-Storyk Design Group will speak on ?Architecture and Acoustics of Small Critical Listening Environments Tuesday, April 5 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. The recently opened, state-of-the-art complex encompasses the entire 20,000 sq. ft. 2nd floor of 22 West 19th Street in Manhattan.
?There is an element of irony to this talk, Dale Pro Audio owner Michael Lager remarked. ?As designer/acoustician for our new facility he is intimately familiar with the many technical issues addressed to maximize its full acoustic potential.
Storyks presentation will cover current ideas and trends specific to small and medium-sized audio production environments. New modeling prediction and measurement software and developments in products and materials will also be addressed.
Meticulously designed to meet all the training and demo needs of Dales skilled sales team, the facility features four distinct demo rooms: Digidesigns ICON Console with Pro Tools in a surround 5.1 environment; Digital Audio Workstations; Critical Listening/Monitors/ Consoles and a Microphone/mic pre Comparison Room. John Storyks lecture will be held in the spacious high-tech Event Room. There is no charge for the event, but attendance is limited 50 guests.
