Joel Silverman Is Millennia's New Managing Director(April 06, 2005)
Drawing from 30 years' experience in professional audio, including 15 years at Lexicon as VP Sales, Silverman is a pioneer of the digital and computer audio revolution. He introduced many new concepts to the audio community including effects automation through MIDI, software-upgradeable audio products, outboard processors with digital I/O, database search functions of presets and THX home theater. Silverman was also instrumental in developing new sales channels to bring this technology to market, while providing customers with a greater level of dealer support.
?We have been on a steady growth curve, says Millennia founder John La Grou. ?With Joel on board, we now have a seasoned management team in place that will take us to the next level. Joels years of leadership at Lexicon, along with his extensive experience in live sound and post production, are an invaluable resource. Im honored that Joel has chosen to join the Millennia family and am looking forward to his vision and leadership.
?Millennia, says Silverman, ?has earned the reputation of producing some of the highest quality analog products in todays market. Now that almost all recording is done digitally and mixing in the box is becoming the norm, the quality of signal acquisition, whether microphone, electric guitar or bass, is more critical than ever. The pro audio workstation market is just beginning to realize why over 20,000 HV-3 mic preamp channels are in use today. Im very excited about being part of Millennia and having the opportunity to launch the company into a new and exciting era.
Silverman holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Clarkson and is an active member of the AES and IEEE.
