Jeromes Furniture Names Phil Kenney COO

Jeromes Furniture announced today that Phil Kenney has been named Chief Operating Officer. Kenneys focus will be managed, smart growth for Jeromes.

According to Lee Goodman, President and CEO of Jeromes, Phil is a phenomenal additional to the team. Ive personally known Phil for many years, as have many members of the Jeromes executive group. We worked with Phil closely when he was the Group Vice President at GERS. We were sad to see him leave. So now to get him back, on our team after a five-year learning experience with a publicly traded company is just an incredible moment for us.

Kenneys roots are in the furniture industry and in San Diego. Phil has lived in the community since 1980. After spending 19 years at GERS (now Red Prairie) Phil spent five years in the retail apparel industry driving operations and information systems for Los Angeles area retailers, Hot Topic Inc. and The Wet Seal Inc.

Kenney says, Im thrilled to be back and have the chance to work with such a dynamic, fast-paced team. Its exciting to join such a thriving organization that is well respected both in the San Diego community and the furniture industry. I cant wait to get started and work with the team on our smart growth initiatives.

A University of California, San Diego graduate, Phil lives in Carlsbad, CA with his amazing wife Pam, and three children. Hes incredibly active including wanting to ride his bike to work a few days a week, which by our calculations is about 20 miles one way. His most played song on his iPhone is Whistle by Flo Rida.

Phil officially joins the team September 17, 2012.
