Irdeto Content Protection for IP: Irdeto PIright
Irdeto Access' content protection solution for IP, Irdeto PIright, is designed to provide the highest levels of protection possible against the theft of premium video content deployed over DSL and FTTH infrastructures. At IBC2004, the company will unveil a new important component of Irdeto PIright the Irdeto secure software client, which offers security protection without the need for a smart card.
Irdeto Epsilon Card with Irdeto FlexiFlash
The Epsilon Card limits the impact of piracy by mixing card types within the network as subscribers are added, and it saves operators money by reducing the number of cards that need to be swapped in case of a security breach.
Irdeto Conditional Access for Mobile Devices
Conditional Access for Mobile Devices enables subscribers to enjoy multichannel, multimedia broadcasting at any place, any time via personalized mobile or vehicle devices. Irdeto Access' new CAS for mobile applications protects and secures this content, and allows consumers a choice of devices such as PDAs, mobile phones and in-vehicle systems on which to receive it.
Irdeto M-Crypt: Conditional Access for Small to Medium Operators
With more than 80 customers worldwide, Irdeto M-Crypt is the industry's preferred solution for the quick, efficient and cost-effective launch of secure digital television services for up to 100,000 subscribers.
Embedded solutions debuting at IBC:
Smart Chip is an embedded access-control solution for any operator wishing to deploy large numbers of low-cost set-top boxes (STBs) with a single-tier subscription service. It enables both enforced collection of subscriber access fees, and in the case of free-to-air services, geographical restriction of content distribution in order to comply with content licensing agreements.
ICOB offers niche content providers the opportunity to distribute Common Interface Conditional Access Modules (CI-CAMs) with an embedded Irdeto Access smart card inside. The CI-CAMs are ideal for allowing an auto-expiring "free-trial" viewing period as well as a normal subscription. When the free trial expires, an Irdeto Access smart card can be introduced into the CI-CAM to extend the subscription.
