Interview with Automatic Duck's Wes Plate

Wes describes Pro Import AE 4. We ask how could they improve that which was great already? By David Basulto

DMN Podcast Episode 3: As most of you know, a duck makes a quack quack sound. Just watch any Aflac commercial and you will agree. In the great state of Washington however there is a different kind of duck and this one roars.

If any of you have ever needed “ducking” on a project I am sure you have used the great products from Automatic Duck. As an After Effects user Automatic Duck’s Pro Import AE has been a tremendous asset to my arsenal. Pro Import AE allows me to import any Final Cut Pro or Avid timeline into After Effects. It’s quick and painless too.

When I cruised by the always busy Automatic Duck booth at NAB, Wes teased me with news about a new version of Pro Import AE 4. How could the improve that which was great already? Herein lays that greatness off the Automatic Duck gang. Always working on making their products even better.

In today’s show we were fortunate to have the Automatic Duck man himself Wes Plate. Wes is extremely cool and smart and tells us how the whole “Duck” phenomenon got going. He also discusses what new in the upcoming Pro Import AE 4 due later this summer. Enjoy.
