InterSense, Inc. Showcases Latest Immersive 3D Products at SIGGRAPH(August 09, 2001)
InterSense will be unveiling InertiaCube2, the world's smallest precision orientation sensor with a PC compatible serial interface. The company will also launch its IS-900 MiniTrax Devices, which like the original IS-900 devices, will deliver extremely precise and accurate wide area, interference free head, hand and object tracking, but will do it in a smaller, lighter package. InterSense precision motion tracking will power demonstrations in exhibitions across the show, including: Sun Microsystems, booth #1201; Trimension, booth # 1647; Barco, booth #1035; 5DT, booth #411; Nvision, booth #1924; Animazoo, booth #967; I-O Display, booth #2100; and VRCO, booth #1401. InterSense will also be holding demonstrations featuring the latest technology in 3D motion tracking at Siggraph's E-Tech advanced technology venue.
InterSense has teamed up with Columbia University and the Navy Research Laboratory to showcase a mobile augmented reality (AR) system that will allow attendees with a wearable computer and head mounted display an augmented reality display of various demos throughout the 17,000 square foot E-Tech venue. InterSense will be providing an alpha IS-1200 system with fused optical and inertial tracking technology to track up to four mobile users in 6-DOF (degrees of freedom) as they walk around the E-Tech area visiting virtual booths and show activities.
InterSense's booth number is 1567, and E-Tech is located in rooms 150 A, B, C, 151 and 152.
