InterMapper Expands Flow Analysis Capabilities of Only Multi-Platform Network Monitoring Tool(August 09, 2011)
WEST LEBANON, NH -- (Marketwire) -- 08/09/11 -- Dartware, a leading developer of network monitoring, mapping and alerting software, today released InterMapper with Flows 1.3, an enhanced version of the only network management tool that supports full Flows analysis for all major operating systems.
InterMapper with Flows is the only Flows collector that tracks full data sessions (not just summaries) at an affordable price with live storage, ensuring network administrators can review and analyze network activity in real time. InterMapper with Flows retains all Flow data so that administrators can review historical trends of NetFlow, sFlow, jFlow, and cFlow traffic data, as well as usage patterns by top network hosts, the Top Talkers and Top Listeners.
"Our latest release of InterMapper with Flows is designed to address the demands facing network administrators that need to quickly and thoroughly analyze network activity, and do this within today's complex network environments," said CEO Rich Brown. "Many other Flows products at our price points merely summarize and aggregate data, but with InterMapper, all data can be analyzed immediately and no other products work across multiple platforms, including Windows, Mac and Linux."
Building on the solid feature set of earlier versions, InterMapper with Flows 1.3 now supports VLANs, Cisco ASA firewalls and any sFlow protocols:
- InterMapper with Flows 1.3 reveals traffic generated by each VLAN so that administrators can plan and manage network growth and implement chargebacks.
- With Cisco ASA firewall support, InterMapper with Flows 1.3 improves compatibility with the majority of hardware devices that export Flow data.
- InterMapper with Flows 1.3 also handles any sFlow data, even if it's within PPPoE frames.
"InterMapper with Flows 1.3 is ideally suited for network traffic troubleshooting, capacity planning and network forensic investigation, expanding the capabilities of a solution that already goes farther than any competitive solution," said Brown. "In today's network environments where every activity is mission-critical, the ability to analyze bandwidth in real-time -- across increasingly diverse environments -- has become a strategic imperative for network managers."
A free, 30-day, fully functional trial version of InterMapper is currently available.
