Indie Artists Finding Major Success At

Innovative online music service proving an invaluable resource (December 22, 2005), an online music service for independent musicians, has attracted and popularized several up-and-coming artists from around the U.S. just a few months after its creation. The online community has already demonstrated genuine and tangible results for independent artists, proving itself a winning, innovative and invaluable resource.

With the imminent launch of the ?Dare to Dream contest, aspiring artists can enjoy the substantial rewards already garnered by some of the artists who have experienced an overwhelming response from fans in the form of streams and downloads of their music from the site.

Two of the artists featured on exemplify the revolutionary benefits the online community?and its associated recording facility, the world-class Barber Shop Studios in Hopatcong, New Jersey?bestows on participants.

The high-energy Transfusion M, now recognized as one of New York Citys hottest bands, serves up an energetic mix of hard-edged, fast-paced, glam-inspired rock n roll with a healthy dose of melodic hooks. The band has enjoyed a staggering 28,000-plus streams and downloads from producers Jason Corsaro and Tony Fortuna took note of the chord Transfusion M was obviously striking with music fans, and offered to collaborate with frontman M Ferentino on a project to be produced at the Barber Shop.

The result, Life (Part 2), is a dynamic and ?optimistically cynical look, in Ferentinos words, at lifes ups and downs, bumps and bruises. Sonically unique and ambitious, the schizophrenic-yet-cohesive Life (Part 2) is a shining testament to the potential offered by DreamMakersMP3.coms Dare to Dream contest.

?Were hooking up with some really cool bands that are starting to interface at the site, said producer Tony Fortuna, whose recent projects include Sunshine in Hell and the animated series Idle Worship. ?The recordings we did with Transfusion M came out absolutely great. Im really looking forward to working with future Dare to Dream contest winners.

Also heading to the Barber Shop for recording sessions is Louisville, Kentucky-based Never The Man. Recently profiled in the Kentucky Standard, Never The Man also attracted the attention of principal Mark Salamone and producers Corsaro and Fortuna.

Since joining in April 2005, Never The Man has drawn an astonishing 50,000-plus streams and downloads. Such interest may not be surprising, given the upward trajectory the band embarked on with the addition of vocalist Jholeen Lesure, who relocated from Phoenix to join Never The Man in 2003. The bands appearance on, however, took their popularity to another level entirely, and guaranteed a trip to the Barber Shop for even greater success.

?They had been getting an incredible response on, says Corsaro, a Grammy-winning engineer who has worked with artists including Steve Winwood, Peter Gabriel and Soundgarden. ?I heard them, really liked them, and was excited to get involved. I really like their music: its very current-sounding but still refreshing. Were going to take what they already have and step it up to the next level.

Independent artists seeking this kind of real-world success story need look no further than DreamMakersMP3.coms ?Dare to Dream contest. The potential rewards, from finding new audiences around the world to a chance to record in a world-class facility with some of the industrys top producers, may seem too good to be true. But as the exciting developments enjoyed by artists Transfusion M and Never The Man, reveal, the ?Dare to Dream contest will help turn dreams into reality.
